汇报人简介：J.A. Lenstra, Faculty of Veterinary Medincie, Utrecht University, Utrecht The Netherlands Since more than 20 years, I have worked on the evolution and genetic diversity of livestock species: cattle, water buffalo, sheep and goats. A large part of this work has been carried out while participating in international consortia: the European Bovine Genetic Diversity, Econogene, GlobalDiv, SheepHapMap, Adaptmap and VarGoats Consortia, respectively. The last ten years the focus has shifted to the world-wide variation of the sheep and goats genomes, while the international collaborations with several Chinese and European groups have become informal. Two recent major publications of studies that have largely initiated, carried out and/or coordinated by myself describe the genetic diversity of European Balkan sheep breeds (Ciani et al., 2018, doi.org/10.1186/s12711-020-00545-7) and the worldwide  Y-chromosomal variation of goats (doi:  10.1111/mec.16579). I have made major contributions to the last two editions (2011, 2022) of the FAO Guidelines for the Molecular Genetic Characterization of Animal Genetic Resources. Since 2014 I am acting as Editor-in-Chief of the ISAG journal Animal Genetics.
