Research Interests

Animal functional genomics and population genetics.

My current work mainly focuses ondeciphering the genetic mechanisms of complex traits in domestic animals (especially in rabbit and chicken)through both forward and reversegenetic approaches (e.g., GWAS, Selective Sweep) by omics data.

The ultimate goal of my research is to identify the causal genes or mutations affectingeconomictraits, and understand the regulation of the genetic mechanisms underlying phenotypic variation, which can be applied to the current breeding efforts to develop improved domestic breeds.
