III. Research Overview

Our long-term and broad research goals are to investigate the reproduction & genetics of dairy goats as well as the functions of goat milk components. Our current research can be summarized in three areas:

1. Investigate the genetic network that regulates the production & metabolism of goat milk lipids

2. Assess the nutritional functions of extracellular vesicles and various fatty acids in goat milk

3. Develop goat milk-derived extracellular vesicles for the delivery of various bioactive cargos
